Khatia Buniatishvili & Zubin Mehta: Liszt & Beethoven
The pianist Khatia Buniatishvili, recently awarded an ECHO Klassik for Solo Recording of the Year, performs the virtuosic and challenging second concerto of her favorite composer, Franz Liszt. Additionally, she played Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1 (which is actually his second). She is accompanied by the legendary conductor Zubin Mehta, who is the lifelong musical director of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
